Me, Marcela and Pamela suggest “Lucky – Jason Mraz”..
Give us some feedback with what you think about it..

I don’t know wether you like jazz or not, but in my opinion, the best love songs ever are “Só tinha de ser com você”, by Tom Jobim and also “Cry me a river”, performed by Ella Fitzgerald in 1975.
There isn’t a best one, but surely best ONES… November rain was a great suggestion, but I’ll try another one: “Love me tender”, Elvis Prestly… OH MY GOD, this song is amazing!
We think the best love songs are “I’m Yours” by Jason Mraz, “Shine on you crazy diamond” and “Wish You Were Here” by Pink Floyd and “É o amor” by Zezé Di Camargo e Luciano.
Hey guys! How about “Can´t take my eyes off you” (written by Frankie Valli, sung by Gloria Ganyor and others), “I don´t wanna miss a thing” (Aerosmith), “Love of my life” (Queen), Beija eu ( Marisa Monte)…
“I don’t want to miss a thing” by Aerosmith reminded me of the day I brought my newborn son home. On that day those those lyrics took on a completely new meaning:
‘I could stay awake just to hear you breathing
Watch you smile while you are sleeping
While youre far away dreaming
I could spend my life in this sweet surrender
I could stay lost in this moment forever
Every moment spent with you is a moment I treasure
Don’t want to close my eyes
I don’t want to fall asleep
Cause I’d miss you baby
And I don’t want to miss a thing
Cause even when I dream of you
The sweetest dream will never do
I’d still miss you baby…’.
So far we’ve only discussed ROMANTIC love, which is a topic of so many great songs. But how about MOTHER’S love- perhaps the strongest type of love there is? HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY. 🙂
We think that the best lovesong ever is: “No Air. By: Jordan Sparks and Chris Brown” because it talks about love at distance, and shows how the loves even though the people are apart.
Hey, what’s up?! In Laura’s opinion, the best lovesong ever is called “You Belong With Me”, by Taylor Swift, because I think the lyrics are cute, and moving, and the rhythm is really good. But, in Layanne’s opinion, the best lovesong is “Halo”, by Beyonce, because what she says about the man is cute.
It’s very hard to choose, almost the old songs above it’s good! Nowadays people can’t make a deep song about love.
Our opinion it’s I wanna hold your hand- Beatles
@ Laura e Layanne: the girls also wanted to choose “Halo”, but I made’em change their choice.. 😛
@ Elisa e Inaina: you guys have a point, and also I agree when you say about the Beatles song. Fair it is to say they have lots of other lovesongs which should be in the list.. 🙂
I think that ‘as time goes by’ sang by Frank Sinatra is the best song I know to be romantic song, as it says about the love that goes on through the time and doesn’t cease to affect people all over the eras… Even people get older!
In my opinion, the best love song is from Colbie Caillat that is called Bubbly. In this song she describes a felling of love and how she felt about it. The chorus describes this felling saying:” It’s start from my shoulder ..”
There are so many lovesongs that is so hard to pick just one… but for me without any doubt are the Hard Rock ballads such as I remember You – Skid Row, More than Words – Extreme, Every Rose Has it’s Thorn – Poison, Don’t Walk Away – Danger Danger, Heaven – Warrant, Still Lovin’ You – Scorpions, but there also: Don’t Speak – No Doubt and Easy – Lionel Ritchie that doesn’t carry the Hard Rock rotule and are pretty nice.
Anyway there are too a large amount of unknown or almost unknown artist that made lots of nice love songs…I think that is better end up here.
Cheers!
What a difficult question…
Whenever I think of love songs, words such as “heartbroken” and “lovesick” come to my mind. I’d mention “Wish you were here” (Pink floyd) as the best ever!
What about you? Don’t you think suffering is usually related to these songs?
Simone, I tend to believe that the most beautiful love songs people have ever heard are usually the ones written by or performed by broken-hearted ones. In other words, I agree with Woody Allen (my favourite film director/writer). In Love and Death (a.k.a. “A última noite de Boris Grushenko”) [1975] he states that:
To love is to suffer. To avoid suffering, one must not love. But, then one suffers from not loving. Therefore, to love is to suffer, not to love is to suffer, to suffer is to suffer. To be happy is to love, to be happy, then, is to suffer, but suffering makes one unhappy, therefore, to be unhappy one must love, or love to suffer, or suffer from too much happiness — I hope you’re getting this down.
To sum up, suffering is what makes love songs even more beautiful.
It’s hard to say…
I couldn’t say that I don’t enjoy lovesongs because the vast majority are about love or related situations. What usually attracts me in lovesongs is the rhythm and not the lyrics. A good example is Ana’s Song – Silverchair.
“You’re always on my mind” by Elvis Presley.
His performance is such a wonderful thing!
He was still in love with Priscilla, but in this story… We didn’t have a happy ending.
Ok, some of you have already mentioned this one, but take a look at this youtube video: it’s really worthwhile indeed! (Ops, by the way, the best love song ever, in my opinion, is Stand By Me and its zillions versions!!! Anyway, check this one!)http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_A_ma2h0idk&eurl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.orkut.com.br%2FFavoriteVideos.aspx%3Frl%3Dls%26uid%3D6120474900322231462&feature=player_embedded
“(…)
Well open up your mind and see like me
Open up your plans and damn you’re free
Look into your heart and you’ll find love love love
Listen to the music of the moment maybe sing with me
I like peaceful melody
It’s your God-forsaken right to be loved love loved love love
So I won’t hesitate no more, no more
It cannot wait I’m sure
There’s no need to complicate
Our time is short
This is our fate, I’m yours
(…)”
Jason Mraz – I’m yours
I don’t love just Jason Mraz’s musics but also his philosophy towards life. He takes life as it comes and is perfectly happy with what it has to offer whether its bad or good. So Amazing! I’m, definately, a happier person while I’m listenning his songs. Thanks for that Jason!
I’m almost sure that nobody mentioned the song “I’m your man”, this song is marvelous. The idea of somebody special (a boyfriend, fiance, husband) singing to me or whispering, which would be better, next to my ears gives me goose flesh. But, in my point of view, the best interpreter to this song is Michael Bublé, cause his voice is really sexy.
I love my dog ^^
How can I say it?
Ok, just kidding…
We love these songs:
– ‘You and Me’ Lifehouse
– ‘Accidentaly in Love’ Counting Crows
– ‘Falling in love again’ Eagle Eye Cherry
– ‘Linger’ The cranberries
and a lot of musics.
Even though I’m not into love songs, when it comes to choose my favorite one it’s quite hard. For sure I’ d pick Pain of Salvation (This Heart of Mine) or Snow Patrol (Absolute Gravity *which, by the way is absolutely amazing*); But those wouldn’t be a popular choice, once their musics are basically heart-broken songs or prog metal.
Well, today i’m in a good mood so i’ll pick a old but good one: “You Are Everything”, a soul song written by Thom Bell and Linda Creed. The best cover was by Marvin Gaye & Diana Ross.
I have to admit, it isn’t the best rhythym, it isn’t the sexiest music, but the lyrics are so cute!
Even though I’m not really into lovesongs, is hard to choose only one. For sure i’d pick Absolute Gravity by Snow Patrol which is absolutely amazing, but it wouldn’t be original, since heart-broken songs are so usual.
So I’ll pick This Heart of Mine, by Pain of Salvation. This will be definitely the most unpopular choice ever. This is a song about a true love between husband and wife, I belive that this is how realy love should be, and that’s why it fits perfectly the ideal of a lovesong.
and if you don’t know the song, check at least the lyrics, you’ll be agreeing with me sooner than you think!
I like “More than Words” from Extreme and “Accidentally in Love” from The Counting Crows. I guess they’re the only love songs i like, their rhythm is cool!
Well.. I love the song “I’m yours” from Jason Mraz! Its the song of the moment that I listen every day! But there are many other love songs that i like too. For example “Better togethet” – Jack Johnson and “when you say nothing at all” from Ronan Keating (Nothing Hill’s soundtrack)
The best ever? That would be so hard to say…Stand By Me – The Beatles / November Rain – Guns n’ Roses…and the list could go on.
Love*********
I totally agree with you Gabi..
I could also add to the list All my Loving from the Beatles and Wish You Were Here from Pink Floyd..
🙂
I don’t know wether you like jazz or not, but in my opinion, the best love songs ever are “Só tinha de ser com você”, by Tom Jobim and also “Cry me a river”, performed by Ella Fitzgerald in 1975.

Wow, Cristina, this one is really good. I have about seven different versions of Can’t take my eyes off of you here.
Cheers!
Orélio
I just love I can´t take my eyes off of you too!!!!!!!!!!!!
“I don’t want to miss a thing” by Aerosmith reminded me of the day I brought my newborn son home. On that day those those lyrics took on a completely new meaning:

There isn’t a best one, but one of my favirits ar: avrl lavigne-iwill be/ she will be loved- maroon5/ cry me a river- justin timberlake…
This love from Marron 5.It is the best love song because God wanted to be like that!!!
We think that the best lovesong ever is: “No Air. By: Jordan Sparks and Chris Brown” because it talks about love at distance, and shows how the loves even though the people are apart.

Victor – Goiania – Sul
for me the best love song at the history is “love of my life”Queen
Wow, good one, Victor.
I agree with you!
I love all the songs by Queen!
Love of my life…Cant’ take my eyes off you…how could I have missed those???
This is a cool song LOL. We wish we could go to that place one day with someone special =)
I think that ‘as time goes by’ sang by Frank Sinatra is the best song I know to be romantic song, as it says about the love that goes on through the time and doesn’t cease to affect people all over the eras… Even people get older!
Alice. Tha is my favouritr ever. I have 17 different versions.
In my opinion, the best love song is from Colbie Caillat that is called Bubbly. In this song she describes a felling of love and how she felt about it. The chorus describes this felling saying:” It’s start from my shoulder ..”
I totally agree with Cristina Furtado about the song “Love of my life” (Queen) and the video clip is amazing.

By the way, I have uploaded some new/old songs to our podcast. Just click PODCAST to open the player and check them out.
Hard to say, guys… but, as nobody has mentioned it, “The Way You Look Tonight” is one of my favourite love songs ever.
cheers!

Ok Mark!
That’s my favorite one: Everlong (Foo Fighters)
I do agree with you, Renata! This is the most beautiful and melancholic punk rock song of all time!
much love,

I don’t know what is the best love song ever, but I think ‘lucky’ is a very good one.
Cuz, what is better than a love between best friends?
I don’t think that ‘Lucky’ is the best love song, but I like it. To be honest my favortit is ‘Thousand miles’ i really love. 😀
I like “More than Words” from Extreme and “Accidentally in Love” from The Counting Crows. I guess they’re the only love songs i like, their rhythm is cool!

Diana Krall – The Look of Love
